Excellent food and service! We hadn't been to Jack's in a few years and decided to stop in spur of the moment on a Friday evening. We didn't have a reservation and they were pretty much booked, but the host graciously ushered us over to a high-top, which doesn't really work for my arthritic knees so we asked to sit on the couch - it had a little coffee table in front, and he happily obliged. A lovely and hospitable beginning to a very enjoyable evening at a locally owned and operated establishment. David, our waiter, was very friendly and attentive, and even gladly brought us seconds on their complementary serving of some of the best liver pate I've ever tasted! We both ordered the pork schnitzel, and it came with the most amazing Sherry-based gravy, minced cabbage, and homemade mashed potatoes. It was all very filling, and we had no room for dessert. But we will definitely be back because this restaurant gets everything right, especially the idea of hospitality, which is all too rare these days. 🏆
Welcoming environment with delicious food, drink and comfortable atmosphere. Our party of 5 enjoyed Pate, Beet Salad, Crab Cake, Filet's, Scallops and Haddock! A++ Congratulations to the Gates family on honoring their dad Jack in a wonderful way!
I think Dave was hosting, not sure but the customer service was beyond compare. Really nice server, and they really know how to cook everything was prepared beautifully.

Wonderful family owned restaurant! The space is warm and welcoming, the food is tasty and well presented, and the service is very caring and attentive. Family and friends treated me to dinner to celebrate a gallery show opening and Jack's was very busy! In fact they were slammed. But this only highlighted what a great place it is! The staff were "all hands on deck," with one of the owners stopping by our table and chatting with us a few times, and our server was just one of the sweetest and most caring I think I've ever had. It's a place where you can feel that the staff from the top down and the bottom up genuinely care and want customers to have a great experience. The menu had a range of classic options. In a word: wonderful!!!!
My husband and I tried Jack’s for the first time tonight, and it was a delight! The staff were incredibly fun and pleasant to speak with. Every dish we tried was so tasty, and the layers of flavors were so evident. I couldn’t have asked for a better visit. My chicken piccata was even heart shaped by chance. :)
Excellent place. As soon as we walk in, we felt very welcomed. Not only by the staff but by the guests who were visiting this place. Everyone was so friendly and positive. The vibe was out of this world. A big shout-out to David George, our waiter. We just loved his positive attitude. It made the food taste even better. Now for the food... amazing. I had the veal chop and boy oh boy, it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the Haddock. She loved it. We truly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Definitely a place I would recommend.
Love this place! This is our favorite place in the area to eat at! The owner Dave and the staff are so welcoming and attentive! The food is delicious, never a disappointment! Try them on your next dinner outing, Jack’s will become your new favorite too!
And David; owner/bartender is so good...can do 7 things at once, makes a perfect Berniceatini and knows every one and knows I love the Liver patè. And!!! JEFF is there .....he is a treasure. They are lucky to have him. Plus he remembered how to make my Berniceatini from last summer at a different restaurant.
Great time for dinner last evening at Jack's American Bistro in Queensbury. The food was delicious, the complimentary Chicken liver pate was out of this world. David the owner greeted us at the entrance, seated us and treated us like royalty throughout our entire visit. Our server Theresa was fantastic. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. For our next visit, we will visit the steaks and scallops featured on the menu!
